Job summary

Hardin ISD Transportation is seeking a part-time Bus Monitor to help ensure safe and orderly transportation for students on assigned routes. The Monitor will assist with student boarding, monitor behavior, and report safety concerns to the driver.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED preferred, ability to pass a public school background check, be at least 18, and complete safety training. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Complete required bus driver safety training.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to manage student behavior.

Responsibilities

• Follow assigned route and adhere to schedules.
• Monitor students on the bus and supervise boarding/alighting.
• Identify and report safety concerns to the driver.
• Keep bus clean and report any maintenance needs.
• Observe traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Attend safety trainings and maintain relevant records.
