Job summary

First Student, Inc. is hiring a Part-Time School Bus Monitor in Brooklyn, NY. You will assist the bus driver to ensure a safe and friendly ride for students, helping with boarding, seating, and safety instructions.

No prior experience is required; comprehensive safety training is provided. The role offers a flexible split-shift schedule, benefits, and opportunities to advance across many locations in the U.S. and Canada.

Qualifications

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible split shifts (AM/PM).
  • Physical ability to assist students and perform emergency procedures.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
  • Friendly, reliable, and patient working with children
  • Team-oriented with a focus on safety

Responsibilities

  • Help students safely board and exit the bus
  • Assist children with special needs during transport
  • Ensure students remain seated and follow bus safety rules
  • Communicate with the driver to maintain a safe, calm ride
  • Provide care and encouragement to students each day

Now Hiring Part Time School Bus Monitors/Aides -Brooklyn, NY

As a Part Time School Bus Monitor you will play a vital role in your community and the lives of the students. You will assist the bus driver in providing an excellent and safe journey for students to and from school.

No experience as a School Bus Monitor is required! We will guide you with our industry-leading safety and training programs.

Your day as a School Bus Monitor/Aide will include:

Language Requirement

This role requires English proficiency. Federal, state, and local requirements, including U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, require training, safety communications, company policies, employment documents, and other job-related communications be conducted in English.
