Qualifications

• Knowledge of traffic and highway safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Transport students on a preplanned route according to a schedule.
• Regulate bus heating/ventilation for passenger comfort.
• Drive bus safely and comply with traffic laws.
• Ensure safety of children during loading and unloading.
• Instruct children on safety precautions.
• Guide children when crossing streets and ensure safe departure.
• Maintain discipline and report unruly behavior.
• Inspect and sweep bus; check fluids and mechanical condition.
• Report delays, accidents, and vehicle defects.
• Keep operational records and simple reports.
