Job summary

District Wide in Berea, Kentucky seeks a Bus Driver to operate a school bus on designated routes, pick up and discharge students, and provide safe transportation for District students to and from school, events, and field trips.

Starting date is Immediate. Requires a valid Kentucky Class B driver's license with passenger endorsement and a School Bus Certificate, plus a background check. Candidates must maintain safety standards and perform daily vehicle inspections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year experience operating a motor vehicle.
• Valid Kentucky Class B driver's license with passenger endorsement.
• School Bus Certificate; background check required.

Responsibilities

• Drive a school bus on designated routes following schedules and state regulations.
• Pickup and discharge students at stops under various weather conditions.
• Maintain bus in safe operating condition with daily inspections.
• Maintain order and discipline among students and communicate with parents.
• Perform emergency bus evacuation drills as required.
• Transport handicapped students and assist in loading/unloading.
• Record maintenance, miles driven, and students transported.
