Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• CDL Class A or B with passenger, air brake and school bus endorsements.
• Background clearance.
• Drug and alcohol testing per federal, state and local standards.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum 2 years of driving experience.
• Positive professional references.

Responsibilities

• Operate school bus in all weather conditions.
• Ensure bus is empty of students after each run.
• Maintain orderly conduct of student passengers and report unsafe acts.
• Maintain route and schedule as planned.
• Maintain neat appearance and confidentiality.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Clean and service the vehicle including fueling and reporting repairs.
• Demonstrate Emergency Bus Evacuation procedures.
• Adhere to all Hall County School District Board of Education policies and all laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
