Job summary

Glassboro Public Schools is seeking a School Bus Driver for the 26-27 school year to safely transport students on assigned routes according to schedules and laws. The role includes pre-trip inspections, maintaining bus safety, and assisting students including those with special needs.

Qualifications include a High School diploma, a NJ driver’s license, a Class C CDL with P and S endorsements, and a clean background.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age and have a High School diploma.
• Must have a basic New Jersey driver’s license and a Class C CDL with P and S endorsements.
• Must have 20/40 vision in each eye and be able to recognize colors; background check and fingerprints required.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive school bus on assigned routes and schedules.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain bus safety.
• Assist students with special needs to board, ride, and exit the bus; secure wheelchairs as needed.
• Communicate with students, parents, and District personnel to resolve issues.
• Maintain records and attend trainings as required.
• Provide first aid or emergency assistance when needed.
