Job summary

Palominas Elementary District Transportation Office, Hereford, AZ, is seeking a Bus Driver to operate a school bus, maintain student order, and follow routes and schedules. You will deliver safe transportation for students and staff, adhering to district policies and safety standards.

Applicants must hold an AZ Class B CDL with passenger, air brake, and school bus endorsements, plus a current medical certificate and required training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• AZ Class B CDL with passenger, air brake and school bus endorsements required.
• Physical fitness certificate per 49 CFR 391 required.
• Bus-driver training: ≥14 classroom hours and ≥20 behind-the-wheel, or documented prior Arizona school bus experience.
• Arizona school bus certification required.

Responsibilities

• Drives a school bus on designated routes according to schedule.
• Maintains order among students and ensures safety during transport.
• Transports students and teachers on field trips and follows time schedules.
• Follows district policies on discipline and communications with parents.
• Performs daily vehicle checks and reports defects to the Transportation Manager.
• Administers first aid and CPR as required.
