Job summary

Gilbert Community School District is seeking licensed school bus drivers to join our transportation team for regular routes, substitute driving, or a combination of route and activity driving.

Position Type: Full-time. Responsibilities include safely transporting students, performing pre/post trip inspections, following routes and procedures, and maintaining a safe environment for students.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Required passenger and school bus endorsements.
• Current DOT physical/medical certification.
• Ability to meet all state and federal school bus driver requirements.
• Acceptable driving record and successful background checks.
• Dependability and a strong commitment to student safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and district activities.
• Complete required pre trip and post trip inspections.
• Follow assigned routes, schedules, traffic laws, and district procedures.
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for students.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, staff, and transportation personnel.
• Report vehicle, safety, or student concerns promptly.
