Job summary

CDL training is provided for those without a permit, with paid time to obtain endorsements. Starting pay varies by vehicle type and endorsement level, with bonuses and benefits including PTO, 401(k) matching, life insurance, and optional medical, dental, and vision coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and have at least 1 year of driving experience.
• Possess NYS CDL Class A or B with P & S endorsements for buses, or Class C with P & S endorsements for vans (or be willing to obtain via free training).
• Ability to pass drug test and background check and comply with CDL guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate a school bus or van to transport students safely and on time.
• Monitor traffic and student behavior to ensure a safe ride.
• Comply with all traffic laws and district requirements.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting when necessary.
