Job summary

Fort Osage TRANSPORTATION in Independence, Missouri is seeking part-time Bus Drivers for the 26-27 school year. Training for CDL licensure is provided, with the district covering training costs. Hiring begins for the summer session in June 2026 and may extend into August for full-time starts.

Hours vary from 5.5–8 hours daily with potential overtime. Retirement contributions are offered, and benefits apply to those over 30 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa may be required.
• Criminal Background Clearance and other clearances required

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation of students on scheduled routes.
• Monitor students and passengers for safety during transit.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required reports.
