Avon Community School Corporation is seeking a Bus Driver to transport students safely on a part-time to full-time, 181-day schedule. The role requires a Class B CDL, the yellow card, and endorsements for passenger, school bus and airbrake.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must hold a Class B CDL and the Indiana State School Bus Committee Standard Certificate (yellow card).
• Endorsements for passenger, school bus and airbrake are required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students and parents; knowledge of traffic laws.

Responsibilities

• Drive a school bus safely and competently for Avon Community School students daily.
• Maintain punctuality, dependability and confidentiality; follow policies and regulations.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the community.
• Attend orientation meetings and follow transportation procedures and safety rules.
• Assist with bus cleanliness and routine maintenance reporting as needed.
