Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license with passenger and school bus endorsements, CPR and First Aid certifications, and the AZ school bus driver certificate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher; read and follow transportation instructions and traffic signs.
• Prior bus or commercial vehicle driving preferred.
• Driver’s license with Passenger and School Bus endorsements.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required or preferred.
• AZ school bus driver certificate issued by AZDPS/STU; Medical Examiner's certificate.
• Able to communicate professionally with students, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Drive school bus or assigned vehicle to transport students on schedule.
• Maintain safe and clean bus conditions and keep records.
• Communicate with parents, students and staff about transportation matters.
• Complete incident reports and cooperate with safety investigations.
• Participate in safety drills and credentialing activities.
• Perform routine vehicle checks and report maintenance needs.
