Job summary

Glassboro Public Schools is hiring a School Bus Driver for the 2026-2027 school year. Immediate starting date with a $1,000 sign-on bonus and a ten-month contract.

Duties include safely transporting students, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and assisting students with special needs. Successful candidates will have NJ driver's license, Class C CDL with P/S endorsements, and required vision standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age and have a High School diploma.
• A basic New Jersey driver's license and three (3) years driving experience.
• Minimum of a class C commercial driver's license with P and S endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently drive a school bus to assigned locations on schedule.
• Ensure student safety during transport, loading, and unloading.
• Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document results.
• Escort students across streets at stops and maintain order on the bus.
• Assist students with special needs to board, ride, and exit the bus safely.
• Communicate with students, parents, and District personnel about routes and behavior.
• Prepare conduct, incident, and accident reports; maintain records and data on inspections and mileage.
• Attend safety trainings and required certifications; administer first aid if needed.
