Job summary

Center City Public Charter Schools is seeking an experienced bus driver to join our staff for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time role involves transporting students between six campuses across the DMV area, with on-call hours from 10 am–7 pm August–June.

The ideal candidate is punctual, enjoys working with children, and holds a CDL license. Training provided for the right candidate; clean driving record preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CDL license required.
• 1+ years’ experience driving a school bus (training provided for the right candidate).
• No at-fault traffic accidents in the last 5 years; clean driving record.
• Ability to carry out assigned route on time; 2+ years working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport children to and from scheduled field trips.
• Maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus at all times.
• Obey all traffic laws.
• Perform inspections of the bus before and after each route.
• Ensure the safety of all students.
• Assist students with getting on and off the bus when required.
• Attend required trainings.
• Be available to work on-call during the months of August-June.

Center City Public Charter Schools is seeking an experienced bus driver to join our staff for the 2026-2027 school year. This position requires you to be available to drive our students to and from each of our six campuses to destinations throughout the DMV area. The ideal candidate is prompt, enjoys working with children, is comfortable navigating DMV traffic, and is seeking part-time employment.

Responsibilities

• Transport children to and from scheduled field trips
• Maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus at all times
• Obey all traffic laws
• Perform inspections of the bus before and after each route
• Ensure the safety of all students
• Assist students with getting on and off the bus when required
• Attend required trainings
• Maintain positive relationships with school leadership and chaperones
• Be available to work on-call from 10 am-7 pm during the months of August-June

Qualifications/Skills

• 1+ years’ experience driving a school bus (training provided for the right candidate)
• No at-fault traffic accidents in the last 5 years
• Clean driving record (no traffic citations in the last 5 years)

Compensation
