Job summary

First Student Tecumseh is hiring a Part Time School Bus Driver to start and end the day safely with morning pickup and afternoon returns. You'll drive school routes, supervise boarding, and assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.

No experience is required; we provide expert training, a part-time flexible schedule (split AM/PM routes), and opportunities to advance across 540 locations in the U.S. and Canada.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• Part-time schedule with summers off.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus and ensure safety standards.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of brakes, lights and tires.
• Report issues and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Follow traffic laws and company safety rules.
• Communicate with parents and school staff about delays or behavior.
• Demonstrate leadership and strong customer service.

As a Part Time School Bus Driver, you will play a vital role in your community and the lives of students. You will start students’ days with morning pickup before school and transport them safely back home in the afternoon. Additional hours for field trips and special event transportation may be available.
