Job summary

First Student Management LLC is hiring a Part-Time School Bus Driver in New Fairfield, CT. You will transport students to and from school and activities with a flexible AM/PM split schedule and a guaranteed minimum of hours.

Paid training, safety guidance, and opportunities for field trips are provided in a supportive environment. No prior driving experience is required; training is offered to ensure safe, reliable transportation for students and families.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years.
• Ability to work a part-time schedule.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Assist students with boarding, unloading, seatbelts, and mobility aids.
• Maintain a safe, orderly environment on the bus.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Report maintenance concerns promptly.
• Keep the bus clean and sanitary.

As a Part-Time School Bus Driver, you will play a vital role in your community and the lives of students. You'll start students' days with morning pickups before school and safely transport them home in the afternoon. Additional hours for field trips and special event transportation may also be available. No experience is necessary! First Student provides paid training, support, and guidance to help you become a safe and professional school bus driver.

• Hourly Rate: $27.11 per hour after training completion
