First Student is hiring a Part-Time School Bus Driver in Bridgewater/Hillsborough, NJ. You will transport students safely on a morning and afternoon route, with no nights or summers. Flexible hours, paid training, and opportunities for advancement across 540 locations.

No experience is required; we provide expert training to help you become a safe, professional driver. This position emphasizes community service and reliable daily schedules.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid commercial driver’s license.
• Experience driving with ride-share or taxi services is a plus.
• Previous experience in teaching, customer service, or related roles is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading at stops; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, emergency exits).
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about student behavior or delays.
• Demonstrate leadership and customer service skills.
