Job summary

Reliant Student Transport, LLC is seeking a dedicated School Bus Route Driver to transport students safely along designated routes and provide excellent customer service. The role requires clear communication, basic mechanical aptitude for pre-trip inspections, and a genuine care for children and passengers with special needs.

Paid training is provided to help new drivers prepare for the upcoming school year.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in school bus driving preferred, but not necessary.
• Basic mechanical understanding to perform pre-trip inspections.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English; multilingual skills are a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to write reports and maintain accurate records.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policies.
• Previous experience in childcare or working with children is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a vehicle along assigned routes, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Assist passengers, including children and those with disabilities, during boarding and disembarking.
• Maintain accurate records of passenger counts, mileage, and any incidents that occur during the route.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or passenger needs.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all passengers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
• Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
