Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical training is required.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in automotive, diesel, or bus repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and service inspections on school buses and fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, diesel, electrical, and drivability issues.
• Inspect, service, and repair brake systems, tires, steering, suspension, drivetrains, transmissions, cooling, fuel, exhaust, and electrical systems.
• Respond to road calls and assist with mobile repairs to keep routes running safely.
• Complete repair orders and documentation accurately and promptly.
• Communicate repair needs and vehicle status to the shop foreman or supervisor.
