Job summary

North-America-Central-School-Bus is seeking a Bus Aide to assist the driver in safe route operation and to manage students as defined by school. The role covers pre/post-trip inspections, loading/unloading, and ensuring safety by complying with policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong verbal communication, and a professional appearance. Responsibilities include safety meetings, emergency evacuations, and daily bus cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work early morning hours.
• Dress in a professional and appropriate manner.
• Follow OSHA guidelines and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist the driver in safe operation of the route.
• Manage students as defined by school and communicate behavior issues.
• Assist in pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including child checks.
• Help loading/unloading, including wheelchair lifts.
• Cooperate with school personnel, parents and students.
• Attend safety and training meetings.
• Conduct emergency evacuation from the bus.
• Clean the inside of the bus and maintain cleanliness.
• Perform other duties as required by contract.
