Job summary

Harlows School Bus Service Inc. is hiring a part-time Bus Monitor to support safe student transportation. You will assist children getting on and off, ensure seating, and follow routes and safety procedures while communicating clearly with drivers, parents and staff.

Strong observation, calmness during emergencies, and the ability to take directions from the bus driver are essential. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to assist children with boarding and alighting safely.
• Follow safety procedures and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist children in getting on and off the bus safely.
• Ensure children sit in assigned seats and exit at correct stops.
• Keep children seated safely while the bus is moving.
• Operate lift and secure wheelchairs in tie-down system.
• Assist drivers in maintaining safety on the bus and at stops.
• Maintain order on the bus and manage emergencies calmly.
