Job summary

Holcomb Bus is seeking school bus aides to assist in the physical and behavioral care of passengers during transport to and from school. The role includes helping with safe boarding, riding, and exiting of students as well as maintaining hygiene and safety on the route.

The ideal candidate is at least 18 years old, can provide verifiable records, communicates in English, stays polite with students, teachers, and parents, and can lift up to 50 lbs for emergency evacuations when necessary.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to provide verifiable records and meet state requirements from age 18 to present.
• Able to read, understand and communicate in English to respond to students' needs.
• Remain polite and professional to students, teachers, school officials’ parents and office personnel.
• Practice good personal hygiene while transporting students.
• Bend and lift up to 50 lbs. and be able to assist in evacuating clients in an emergency.

Holcomb Bus is looking for school bus aides to assist in the physical and behavioral care of the passengers during transport to and from school/location. In addition, the aide will help with the safe boarding, riding and exiting of students/passengers.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age


• Must be able to provide verifiable records and meet state requirements for the period from age 18 to present.


• Able to read, understand and communicate in English to respond appropriately to students needs during route and notify proper personnel of emergency and safety issues


• Remain polite and professional to students, teachers, school officials’ parents and office personnel


• Practice good personal hygiene while transporting students/passengers


• Bend and lift up to 50 lbs. and be able to assist in evacuating clients in an emergency
