Job summary

DS Bus Lines is seeking a Part-time School Bus Monitor to support our Bus Aide duties in Opelousas, LA. The Bus Aide assists students with boarding, departure, and safe arrival while keeping a secure environment so the Driver can concentrate on driving.

The role starts at training pay of $8.00 per hour, rising to $11.26–$13.46 per hour DOE, with benefits available. We value safety, family, service, and respect in every trip.

Qualifications

• Assist students boarding and exiting the bus while maintaining safety.
• Greet students in a friendly manner and help as needed.
• Ensure all students are secured and arrive safely at their destination.

Responsibilities

• Greet students in a pleasant manner.
• Help students board and depart the bus safely.
• Ensure a safe environment for students and allow the Driver to focus on driving.
• Perform child checks at the end of each route.
• Maintain safety on the bus and perform related tasks as assigned.
