Leesel Transportation in Livingston Manor seeks a School Bus Aide to help students board and disembark safely, manage passengers, and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Candidates must have good people skills and be able to handle various physical tasks required for the job.
This role involves typical hours from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., with potential for additional hours. Training will be provided and is compensated.
Rolling V Bus Corp. maintains school bus services. The School Bus Aide assists students in safely boarding and disembarking, participates with the bus driver in passenger management, communicates with parents/guardians and school officials, observes and reports incidents, releases students to approved individuals, may cross students to the other side of the road, assists the driver in backing‑up procedures, and acts in emergencies per training. Good people skills and courteous behavior are required.
Typical work hours 6:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. and afternoon between 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Hours may increase upon placement on a permanent regular bus route after the initial new‑hire period. Training is provided and paid by the company.
Base pay rate $16.00 per hour. Daily guarantee is 4 hours. Monitors are paid for all time worked over the guarantee.
