Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking dedicated individuals to support children with Autism in Hawaii Island School Districts. You will work 1:1 with students, following an established service plan, while BAYADA provides training and supervision.

An RBT credential is required or candidates may pursue it with BAYADA support. Flexible part-time shifts available, typically weekdays between 7:30am and 2:30pm, in your local Hawaii neighborhoods.

Qualifications

• RBT certification or the desire to pursue certification (Training provided by BAYADA)
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Experience with children with developmental/intellectual disabilities is a plus, but not required
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree OR 48 college credits including Math 100 and English 100 OR passage of the ParaPro Praxis Assessment (BAYADA assistance available)

Responsibilities

• Work directly with students in the classroom, following the established service plan
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients and school teams, respecting values and beliefs
• Implement behavior therapy techniques and collaborate with teachers to support the student in the classroom environment
• Document interventions and progress towards goals
• Collect behavior data as specified in client behavior plan
• Provide training, instruction, and assistance to help the student acquire and maintain skills and meet identified goals
• Support the client in interpersonal skills, development, and maintenance of personal relationships, and building independence in their school routine
• Support school age children to succeed with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

At BAYADA Home Health Care, our clients come first and our employees are our greatest asset. We are looking for dedicated employees who have their Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT®) credential or are interested in pursuing their RBT credential.

The RBT credential is a professional credential for paraprofessionals offered through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board® (BACB®). The RBT credential is required for individuals providing services on any Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or insurance-based contracts in Hawaii. This position includes working 1:1 with children and young adults diagnosed with Autism in Hawaii Island School Districts. BAYADA will provide your training as well as provide extensive supervision.

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate of $30 -$35 and up based on experience.

Laupahoehoe, Honoka'a, Waimea, Kohala, Waikoloa, Kailua- Kona and the surrounding areas

Flexible Scheduling:

• Part time positions available
• Shifts available Monday through Friday
• Most shifts are between 7:30am and 2:30pm
• Work in your neighborhood or commute for more hours
