Job summary

Brightli is seeking a School Based Therapist in Ozark, MO, to provide essential counseling services to students and families within a school setting.

You will assess, diagnose, and treat clients, develop individualized plans, and collaborate with school staff to promote mental health and well-being. Telehealth may be used and training provided as needed.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
  • Licensed as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT or eligible for licensure.
  • Willing to pursue licensure in additional states.
  • Telehealth delivery experience or training available.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling to students to meet treatment goals.
  • Conduct intake, screening, and comprehensive assessments within required timeframes.
  • Develop and document individualized treatment plans in line with state standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to authorize required services and coordinate care.
  • Document services in compliance with state regulations and agency policies.
  • Support crisis intervention and coordinate emergency services when needed.
  • Deliver group counseling and specialty services within the school setting.

Education

Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field
Professional licensure (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT)
Willingness to become licensed in additional states

As a School Based Therapist, you will assess, diagnose, and treat clients based on their unique needs. You will conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and utilize evidence-based interventions to support your clients’ growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual, group, family, and other practical counseling in various settings to meet client needs and treatment goals.
  • Complete intake/screening and comprehensive assessments within designated time frames.
  • Determine and document diagnoses based on comprehensive assessments.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with state regulatory standards.
  • Participate in clinical staffing and treatment meetings, providing feedback on pertinent cases.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure authorized services are approved.
  • Document all services provided in compliance with state regulations.
  • Assist clients through the transition process and complete necessary correspondence.
  • Represent the agency professionally within the community.
  • Handle crisis situations and coordinate emergency services as needed.
  • Facilitate group counseling, education, and individual sessions, including specialty services.
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
  • Must possess at least a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Holds licensure with the applicable board of professional registration for the state of practice as a professional counselor or social worker (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT).
  • Must be willing to become licensed in additional states.
  • Comfortable providing telehealth services (training will be provided).
Additional Qualifications:
  • Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.
  • First Aid and CPR certification within three months of employment.
  • Completion of mandatory training within specified time frames.
Physical Requirements:
  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull objects.
  • Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shifts.
  • Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally.
