Job summary

Cross Country Education is seeking a compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) for a School-Based Therapist role in Lakeside, CA. You will provide individual and group counseling to support students' social-emotional, behavioral, and academic needs.

Responsibilities include assessments, developing counseling strategies, coordinating with staff and families, and maintaining confidential documentation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or a related field.
• Active California LCSW or LMFT license.
• California PPS credential required.
• Experience providing school-based counseling.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ social-emotional, behavioral, and academic needs.
• Conduct student assessments, develop individualized counseling strategies and evidence-based interventions, and monitor progress toward therapeutic goals.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate services and ensure students receive appropriate support.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation while adhering to professional standards and confidentiality requirements.
