Job summary

Liberty Resources offers school-based mental health services across the East Irondequoit area. The therapist will conduct assessments and provide individual, family, and group therapy within school and home settings, using evidence-based practices and coordinating with school teams.

Role supports a 10-month school-year schedule with summer per diem, and requires flexibility to work with diverse families. Job includes potential for supervision and licensure support as part of career development.

Qualifications

  • Must have LMSW, LCSW, LMFT or LMHC preferred; interns considered.
  • Must be flexible and oriented to family work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills and ability to use an EMR.
  • Must have NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation when required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and family therapy in school and home environments.
  • Conduct intake assessments gathering data from parents, children and others.
  • Use diagnostic information to develop treatment plans.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed for caseload.
  • Participate on School Intervention Team and collaborate with school staff.
