The School Based Therapist provides initial and comprehensive evaluations, treatment plan development and review, psychotherapy, crisis assistance, and case consultation. The therapist works closely with school staff, behavioral health practitioners, and families to provide psychoeducation and to collaborate on progress towards treatment goals. This position is based in the schools.
Education Required: Master’s degree in Social Work, Family Therapy, Psychology or one of the behavioral sciences from an accredited college or university. Must be licensed or on track to be licensed as a Behavioral Health Professional in MN and ability to be credentialed by insurance companies. Experience delivering behavioral health services to children and/or families.
Experience Preferred: Two years post degree experience in clinical social work, family therapy, psychology, or related fields with appropriate clinical supervision and independent clinical licensing (LICSW, LPCC, LMFT).
Experience Preferred: Experience in the delivery of School-Based Mental Health Services and collaboration with school systems and special education services. Education in Family Systems Theory.
