Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an educational program for speech-language pathology.
• Licensed in Louisiana as a Speech Language Pathologist-Assistant.
• Certification as Speech Language Pathology Assistant per Bulletin 746.
• Ability to interpret written and verbal instructions from supervisor.
• Ability to manage and supervise students.
• Ability to work with students, school personnel, parents, and professionals.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Excellent communication with students and parents.
• Knowledge of special education laws and school regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Strong written and oral communication in multiple settings.

Responsibilities

• Provides screenings and direct treatment under supervision.
• Assists with IEP conferences and team conferences.
• Maintains equipment and documents progress.
• Schedules activities and prepares charts/records.
• Follows treatment plans with supervisor approval.
• Works collaboratively with school staff and families.
• Performs duties excluding assessments as assigned.
