Job summary

Career Links is seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026/2027 school year to provide services to students with diverse communication needs in a school setting.

You will collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals, conduct evaluations, develop IEPs, and deliver both direct and indirect therapy, while utilizing AAC when appropriate and ensuring compliance with IDEA and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in SLP from an accredited program.
• Active South Carolina SLP license or eligibility.
• SC Department of Education Certification as Speech-Language Therapist or eligibility.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations per IDEA and SCED regulations.
• Develop and implement IEPs based on assessments and student needs.
• Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy to eligible students.
• Maintain documentation, service logs, progress reports, and Medicaid billing records as required.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers to support student success.
• Attend and participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and AAC when appropriate.
• Support inclusive education and provide consultation on communication strategies.
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions to maximize outcomes.
