Dorchester County Public Schools is currently accepting applications for potential Speech Language Pathologist vacancies for the 2026-2027 school year. The SLP will evaluate students with speech and language disabilities and determine eligibility for Special Education services, completing assessment reports and determining the educational impact of speech language issues.

DCPS Speech Language Pathologists participate in IEP Team meetings, may serve as case manager for identified students, and

• CCC eligible and eligible for licensure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with IFSP/IEP teams.
• Experience reporting and documenting clinical findings.
• Familiarity with Assistive Technology and AAC devices.
• Experience working with parents and caregivers.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct Speech Language Pathology services to qualified students.
• Develop and implement IEP goals for each student.
• Screen, evaluate, diagnose, and remediate speech disorders birth to twenty-one.
• Collaborate with IFSP teams and school staff to ensure consistency.
• Maintain accurate records and timely MA billing information.
• Participate in IEP meetings and data collection for student progress.
