Job summary

Danville City School District is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive services to students with communication disorders in a school setting. You will assess, diagnose, and treat articulation, language, fluency, and voice impairments, collaborating with educators and families to support academic success.

The role requires a Master's in SLP and Virginia licensure; ASHA CCC is preferred.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
Virginia license in Speech-Language Pathology issued by the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.
ASHA CCC awarded or in good standing is preferred.
Experience in a school setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language impairments.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
Maintain accurate records of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress reports.
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting.
Provide training and resources to staff and families.
Stay current with best practices and continuing education requirements.
