Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent evaluations and provide individual and group therapy to students.
• Develop clinical management strategies and participate in the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee.
• Consult with colleagues, students, and parents regarding therapy goals.

Skills

Ability to use accepted tests to assess communication disorders

Knowledge of evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of speech-language disorders

Ability to instruct and manage student behavior

Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Education

Master’s degree in speech-language pathology

Valid license as a speech-language pathologist

Bachelor’s degree and valid Texas Education Agency speech therapy certificate
