Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Missouri is expanding its School Based Services and adding School Based Specialists who will support school-age youth in achieving goals through on-site intervention in area schools. You will collaborate with school staff to ensure appropriate client care and participate in progress monitoring and treatment planning.

The role requires a 12-month, full-time contract with day shifts, and offers a comprehensive benefits package, salary bonuses up to $12,000, paid time

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Criminal Justice, Counseling, Social Work, Education, or related field.
• Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
• Favorable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Participate in monitoring client progress in treatment programs.
• Participate in development of individual treatment/rehabilitation plans.
• Provide individual assistance to clients as a resource in accessing needed mental health services.
• Provide individual assistance to clients in completing activities of daily living skills.
• Assist clients to access and utilize community resources for social, vocational, educational, and recreational support.
• Additional duties to support client wellness and rehabilitation.

Burrell Behavioral Health is expanding our School Based Services Department. We are adding School Based Specialists to our staff who will be key players in assisting school-age youth achieve their goals. School Based Specialists provide on-site intervention in area schools for clients enrolled in the program and will collaborate closely with school staff to ensure appropriate client care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the ongoing process of monitoring client progress in treatment programs
• Participate in development of specific individual treatment/rehabilitation plans
• Provide individual assistance to clients as a resource in accessing needed mental health services
• Provide individual assistance to clients in completing activities of daily living skills
• Assist the client to access and utilize a variety of community agencies and resources to provide ongoing social, vocational, educational, and recreational support and activities
• Additional job duties to target client wellness and rehabilitation

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in: Psychology, Criminal Justice, Counseling, Social Work, Education, Recreational Therapy, Human Development and Family Studies, Gerontology, Rehabilitation Counseling, or Sociology.
