Job summary

Bellevue School District is seeking an itinerant speech-language pathologist to provide services to students from preschool through 12th grade in both special and regular education classrooms.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, parents, and support staff, with development of IEP goals and adapted SLP practices for the public school setting. This position is on-call and requires professional eligibility and licensure.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology required.
• Educational Staff Associate certificate required or eligible.
• Experience with students with mild, moderate and severe disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, select, and schedule caseload; provide therapy services, including in-class intervention for students with communication disorders.
• Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, peers, other support staff, parents, and the community.
• Adapt the professional role of speech/language pathology to the public schools.
• Develop appropriate IEP goals and objectives.
