Job summary

Children's Academy in New York, NY is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to join a K–12 school focused on speech and language differences. The SLP will support students throughout the school day and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

The role includes assessments, writing reports, IEP goals, social skills groups, and co-teaching ELA with special education staff. Relocation is required before start date; CCC-SLP certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Speech-Language Pathologist license.
• School-based experience.
• CCC-SLP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Observe and assess students' speech and language needs.
• Treat students individually for speech and language needs (receptive/expressive language, articulation, AAC, etc.).
• Write comprehensive reports (initial evaluations, progress and end-of-year evaluations).
• Maintain daily session data; create IEP goals.
• Collaborate with grade-level staff as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Co-teach ELA/Literacy with a special education teacher; lead social skills groups.
