Job summary

Liberty STEAM Charter is seeking a School-Based Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant to support scholars’ physical development and access to learning within the school setting.

Provide therapy services, develop plans aligned with IEP goals, and collaborate with teachers and families. SC LLR license is required for this role. This ten-hour-per-week position is paid at $50–$75 per hour, with no benefits for part-time staff.

Qualifications

• Must hold Doctorate or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• SC LLR licensure required; out-of-state cert acceptable.
• Experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate scholars to determine therapy needs related to educational access.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Provide direct and consultative therapy services in classrooms and school settings.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to support scholar success.
• Monitor progress, document, and ensure compliance with special education regulations.
• Support safe mobility, positioning, and use of adaptive equipment.
