Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to serve K-12 students across multiple school sites in an itinerant, onsite role in South Carolina. This contract-based position runs ASAP through late May 2027 with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.

The role involves conducting developmental and diagnostic PT assessments, creating therapy plans aligned with IEP goals, and collaborating with teachers, counselors, and families to support student independence and mobility.

Qualifications

• Active SC Physical Therapist license required.
• Pediatric or school-based experience preferred.
• Ability to travel between multiple K-12 sites.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental, functional, and diagnostic physical therapy assessments for students across ages.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to promote student independence and mobility.
• Monitor, document, and report progress; adjust interventions as needed.
• Participate in IEP meetings and advise on accommodations and equipment.
• Travel between assigned school sites within the district (itinerant model).
• Ensure documentation and service delivery comply with district, state, and federal standards.
