Job summary

Brookville Center for Children's Services seeks a Physical Therapist to perform evaluations and conduct therapy sessions tailored to each student's IEP/IFSP. You will communicate with staff and families, and document in compliance with NYSED and DOH regulations.

The role emphasizes collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, ongoing professional development, and maintaining a safe, compliant therapy environment within a school-based setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's/Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• NYS Licensure and Registration as a Physical Therapist
• Knowledge of anatomy and neuromotor development common to PT programs
• Minimum 1 year of related work experience with preschool/school-age special needs populations preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess students' needs and set goals for IEP/IFSPs.
• Develop and implement therapeutic activities to enhance motor skills.
• Provide therapy per IEP/IFSP specifications and use positive supports.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and share progress.
• Maintain professional communication with families and staff; attend meetings.
• Complete timely paperwork, reports, and evaluations; supervise interns as needed.
• Ensure safe environment and comply with policies and safety protocols.
• Engage in professional development and continuing education.
