Job summary

Northwest Kansas Educational Service Center District Wide - Oakley, Kansas is seeking a Certified Physical Therapist Assistant to enhance and maximize the services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

The role requires maintaining notes, collaborating with teachers, parents, and professionals, and obtaining and maintaining a Kansas PTA license; travel between schools is expected, with full-time duties supporting district-wide special education services.

Qualifications

• Have and maintain a license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct treatment as outlined by the supervising Physical Therapist, adapting program as directed.
• Keep accurate and timely notes of treatment, session, and student response; record pertinent information from teachers, parents, etc.
• Work closely with supervising physical therapist; consult regularly and provide access to student PT notes.
• Attend appropriate workshops and in-services to further education.
• Submit required Medicaid/third party billing documentation as directed.
• Maintain proper license/certificate.
• Maintain a log of activities as directed to meet local, state, and/or federal guidelines.
• Perform any other duties as directed.
