Job summary

Soliant is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to support students aged 12–21 in a school setting. This contract role offers about 16 hours per month with a flexible schedule and a chance to impact both academic progress and student function.

You will work with a caseload of 8 students, collaborating with educators and clinicians, and documenting progress and IEP-aligned goals. Virginia licensure is required; school experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in Virginia (eligibility to practice).
• Experience in a school setting or with adolescents/young adults preferred.
• Familiarity with IEPs and compensatory services documentation.
• Strong communication and collaboration with educators, staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Compassionate, adaptable, and organized with a student-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Assess student motor skills and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals and compensatory requirements.
• Deliver direct physical therapy sessions to support improved function, mobility, and participation in school activities.
• Monitor progress, adjust care plans as needed, and maintain accurate documentation on sessions and student outcomes.
• Collaborate with special education staff and other service providers to ensure holistic support for each student.
• Participate in team meetings as appropriate to review progress and strategize about student needs.
