Job summary

The HealthCare Connection (THCC) is seeking a School Based Patient Service Specialist in Cincinnati, OH. You will be the welcoming face at the front desk, registering patients and guiding them through insurance and payments processes.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in a clinical or medical office setting, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHR systems (NextGen a plus). Bilingual Spanish is preferred in our diverse community.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting (front desk, registration, or scheduling roles preferred).
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer systems.
• Familiarity with EHR systems; NextGen experience is a plus.
• Ability to multitask in a busy environment with frequent interruptions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; resume must be attached to be considered.

Responsibilities

Our mission is to provide quality and accessible primary healthcare services through community responsive approaches that address financial, geographic, and other barriers to care for residents of northern Hamilton County and surrounding areas. THCC is proudly recognized as a Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH), the highest level of recognition attainable for quality care. We boast two primary care locations and 6 school-based health centers providing quality value-based care for over 20,000 patients. We provide services in Primary Care, Infectious Disease, Substance Use, Integrated Behavioral Health, Dental Services, Women’s Health, and Pharmacy. Position Summary: As a School Based Patient Services Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors. As the welcoming face of our Health Center, you’ll support patients throughout the front desk registration process.
