Job summary

Hawaii State Department of Education is seeking a School-Based Occupational Therapy Assistant at Full-Performance to support OT services in a school setting. You will collect data, administer tests, and help implement treatment plans to enhance student independence and learning.

Qualifications

• ACOTE-accredited occupational therapy assistant program completed with supervised field work.
• Successful completion of required supervised field work.
• Appropriate Hawaii licensure to practice as an OTA.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to assessment by collecting data on performance of daily living skills, behavior and motor coordination.
• Administer standardized tests as directed by the OT.
• Assist in developing treatment programs based on goals from initial evaluations.
• Participate in discussions with OT and IEP team on goals and objectives.
• Provide educationally relevant interventions to support student progression.
• Document therapy notes and progress reports per policies.
