Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI), a division of FullBloom, is hiring an Occupational Therapist Assistant to deliver social-emotional and occupational therapy services to students in California.

The role involves collaborating with school staff and families to support student success and well-being. Responsibilities include assessing OT needs, guiding therapy integration into curricula, and training teachers and parents on therapy techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
• Licensed COTA in the applicable state.
• Experience with school-based OT is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess each student to determine OT needs.
• Monitor and adapt therapy programs within the educational plan.
• Educate teachers and parents on OT techniques for classroom/home use.
• Document student needs and supports for IEPs.
• Support handwriting and keyboarding curricula; train staff/parents as needed.
• Provide group OT sessions for K-8 students.
• Attend parent/teacher meetings as necessary.
