Job summary

Haywood County Schools in North Carolina seeks an Occupational Therapist Assistant to support students with disabilities within the K-12 system. You will assist in screening, evaluating, and implementing intervention plans under the supervision of an occupational therapist.

The role requires an NBCOT-recognized OTA program completion and fieldwork; pediatric experience is preferred. This is a full‑time, on‑site position within the Central Office/educational setting.

Qualifications

• Accredited OTA program recognized by NBCOT
• Fieldwork requirements completed
• Two years of pediatric OTA experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist in screening, evaluation, and development of intervention plans under supervision.
• Implement individualized interventions addressing student occupational performance.
• Collaborate with the supervising occupational therapist to review and modify intervention programs based on outcomes.
• Maintain and document therapy services and student progress per district guidelines.
