Greenbush - The Southeast Kansas Education Service Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist in the Topeka Kansas area to support preschool through high school students.

Anticipated Start Date: 08/01/2025. The role focuses on evaluation, implementation, and progress monitoring under the IEP, with duties including collaboration with school staff and families to enhance student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Hold or be eligible to obtain a Kansas Occupational Therapy License.
• Ability to travel between sites daily.
• Adaptability to changes in schedule and routines on short notice.
• Strong communication of solutions to complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Complete thorough evaluation of children including motor, sensory, and daily living skills.
• Educate school staff on therapy techniques for integration into programs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve daily living skills.
• Maintain communication with the child’s physician as needed.
• Assess adaptive equipment needs and coordinate purchases.
• Fabricate adaptive equipment to maximize comfort and function.
