Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group in Richmond, CA is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our school-based team in a full-time or part-time role. You will support students' functional, sensory, and motor development to help them succeed in the classroom and beyond.

Work alongside teachers, families, and specialists to evaluate, plan, and implement individualized therapies, participate in IEP meetings, and maintain accurate documentation while promoting collaboration and student progress.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active California OT license.
• NBCOT certification preferred.
• Experience working with children and adolescents preferred.
• School-based experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and educational goals.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services in individual and group settings.
• Support fine motor development, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, self-care, and functional life skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress monitoring.
• Maintain accurate documentation, treatment records, and progress reports.
• Recommend adaptive equipment, classroom modifications, and therapeutic strategies to support student success.
