Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Knowledge of educational-based therapy, pediatrics, and sensory integration desirable.
• Ability to align therapy with curricular outcomes and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Screens and evaluates children to determine therapy needs.
• Sets occupational therapy goals for students needing services.
• Provides school-based OT interventions enabling participation in general education.
• Gives consultation to team members and parents on strategies and assistive devices.
• Maintains communication with parents regarding progress and home activities.
• Completes required documentation including evaluations and progress notes.
• Participates in staff meetings and professional development.
• Supervises OT students and assistants.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
