Job summary

Innovative Therapeutic Services (ITS) is seeking licensed mental health professionals to join our School-Based Mental Health Program serving elementary students for the 2026–2027 school year.

Join a collaborative clinical team and provide individual, family, and group therapy within the school setting, with telehealth when appropriate. This 1099 contractual role offers growth opportunities and professional supervision while supporting student success.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field.
• Active Maryland licenses: LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, LCPC, LCMFT.
• Experience with children, adolescents or families preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHR/EMR systems.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to complete federal and state background checks.
• Professional liability insurance (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy to elementary students in school setting, with telehealth as appropriate.
• Maintain minimum weekly billable service expectation while delivering quality care.
• Complete psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other clinical docs.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans per regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Coordinate referrals for psychiatric evaluations, medication management, PRP, or other community resources.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, teachers, and school staff to support student success.
• Participate in supervision and ongoing professional development.
• Maintain ethical and professional standards per Maryland licensing regulations.
• Perform other duties to support the School-Based Program.
